Passover in the Alpaca Farm

The annual Passover festive at the alpaca farm is a wonderful experience. We celebrate the  shearing festive, shear the Alpacas, decorate them with special  hair cut with ideas from the visitors.

This year we will celebrate the Shearing festive on 8/4/2012-13/4/2012.

Visitors can enjoy the following activities:

Guidance: every round hour, between 09:00-18:00, the farm guides will tell the farm story, tell about the journey of the Alpacas from the Andes in south America to their new home in the Negev mountains and about their special habits.

Shearing: at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 the shearing demonstration will take place at the farm amphitheater.

Crafts activities: at the beautiful stone hut you will be invited to weave, create and “Indian Eyes”, wool "snake", paint and play. (some of the activities are with additional payment).

Llama rides: small children (less then 25 kilograms) can enjoy  Llama rides. Children up to 35 kilograms can rid the farm ponies or donkeys. Circular path within the farm large area. Cost: 20 NIS, no need for prior reservation. Between 09:00-16:00.

Horseback rides: a ride of one and a half hour in the ancient landscape of the Negev high mountain, including a spectacular observation to the Ramon crater. Suitable for anybody, including families. No need for prior experience. Reserve you ride at 052-8977-010.
